Why Baylor: I chose Baylor because it offered some of the best training in the country right in my hometown of Houston! The sheer volume and clinical and surgical training at Baylor are second to none. The program鈥檚 culture of hard work and supervised autonomy fit my personal learning style, and it was a place where I could picture myself improving and eventually thriving as a clinician and surgeon. My motto during interviews was, 鈥淚 want a place where I can work hard and learn lots, but feel comfortable and happy to go to work everyday,鈥 and Baylor fit that description!

Why Baylor: Choosing Baylor was a no-brainer. Located in one of the largest medical centers in the world and in one of the most diverse cities in the U.S., Baylor offers unique clinical and surgical experiences. I knew this rigorous program would train me exceptionally well and prepare me to handle any clinical situation that may come my way. Baylor offers both the volume necessary to master recognition of common disease presentations and the exposure required to learn to identify rare ocular diseases. Moreover, the strong relationships between Baylor residents and faculty are at the heart of its robust learning environment. Finally, I love serving and caring for fellow Houstonians!
