About the Conference

Family and Community Medicine sponsors the Primary Care Update, a one-day event held in the fall with seminars, presentations, and workshops geared toward primary care practices. The conference provides 7.0 AMA Category 1 CME credits from the American Academy of Family Physicians. Also, 1.0 Ethics credit is provided. Attendees are encouraged to examine updates on a wide range of clinical issues that healthcare providers encounter and employ considerations of patient safety and health equity.
The AAFP has reviewed Primary Care Update 2024 and deemed it acceptable for up to 7.00 Live AAFP Prescribed credit(s). Term of Approval is from Oct. 26, 2024 to Oct. 26, 2024. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)â„¢ toward the AMA Physician's Recognition Award.
