Dr. Goss Earns Master Clinician Award

John A. Goss, M.D., professor of surgery, received the 7m视频 Master Clinician Award. The award was established by Baylor President and CEO Dr. Paul Klotman to recognize faculty for their exemplary qualities of clinical excellence and expertise, consistent high level of patient care, professionalism, commendable leadership skills and continuous service to the community.

Similar to the Rising Star Award, the Master Clinician Award is for full professors with 15 or more years of clinical service at Baylor.

Dr. Goss is Chief of the Division of Abdominal Transplantation at Baylor, the JLH Foundation chair in Transplant Surgery and director of Liver Transplantation at Texas Children's Hospital, and director of Liver Transplantation at Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center.

Specializing in adult and pediatric liver transplantation, hepatobiliary surgery, and surgical management of liver tumors, Dr. Goss is board certified by the American Board of Surgery as well as a fellow of the American College of Surgery.

Dr. Goss has performed many surgical "firsts" in Houston, including the first split liver adult and pediatric transplants, the first adult living donor liver transplant, the first dual organ lung-liver transplant, and the first dual organ heart-liver transplant.
