About the Program
The Psychiatry Residency at 7mÊÓƵ is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council on Graduate Medical Education for four-year training in General Psychiatry. Residents are required to complete four years of graduate medical education to be eligible for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
Lindsey S. Pershern, M.D., director of residency education, is a graduate of the University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio and an alumnus of the 7mÊÓƵ residency program. Sindhu A Idicula, M.D. is an associate program director and the director of psychotherapy education. She graduated from the University of Texas Medical Branch and completed residency in general psychiatry and fellowship training in child and adolescent psychiatry at 7mÊÓƵ. Jeffrey Khan, M.D. serves as associate program director and medical director of the Baylor Psychiatry Clinic. He completed residency training at 7mÊÓƵ and fellowship training in forensic psychiatry at Case Western Reserve University. Jai Gandhi, M.D. serves as associate program director and medical director of the consultation-liaison psychiatry service at the Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center.
