Texas Children’s Pediatrics (TCP) Westwood is a patient-centered medical home for the Southwest Houston community focusing on preventative medicine and holistic care. The physicians are members of the Division of Academic General Pediatrics, 7mÊÓƵ. We serve as one of the continuity clinic sites for pediatric residents. In addition, we teach family medicine interns, medical students, and physician assistant students during their pediatrics clerkships.

As a Primary Care L.E.A.D. resident, your continuity clinic site will be at TCP Westwood, which will provide you exposure to the following:
- Diverse patient population: two-thirds of the patient population is Hispanic and one-fourth are African American. The majority of patients are insured by Medicaid or CHIP.
- Medical Home: TCP Westwood offers medical, dental, vision, behavioral, pharmacy, and laboratory services for all patients.
- Team Based Care: Residents will learn medicine in a team-based environment and work with other healthcare professionals.
- Collaboration: Residents will work with other healthcare professionals to provide integrative treatment plans for patients.
- Scholarly Activity: TCP Westwood is the perfect environment to initiate a Quality Improvement or other scholarly project.
